Resources Collection

Resource Collection,  Advance Request and Reissue Policy

At Melbourne Tutorials, our academic resources are continuously refined and updated to reflect classroom progress, student needs, and program development. To maintain consistency and quality across all centres, the following policy applies.

1. Resource Collection for Missed Classes

If your child is absent from class, or if you have informed us in advance that they will be unable to attend a session, we kindly request that you collect your child’s homework from the relevant campus at your convenience.

Please note:

  • Homework assignments and classroom resources are not sent via email.

  • Parents should contact the respective campus via email to arrange a suitable time for collection.

  • Homework may be collected during the same week of absence or at the next class your child attends.

  • To ensure the work is prepared and ready, please notify the campus at least 48 hours in advance, clearly mentioning the intended day and time of collection.

2. Requests for Resources in Advance

We understand that some families may request homework/resources in advance due to overseas travel or other upcoming commitments.

However, as Melbourne Tutorials continuously evolves and updates its academic resources, it is generally not feasible to provide materials in advance for future sessions.

The available alternatives are:

  • Homework and resources may be collected upon your child’s return.

  • In very exceptional circumstances only, and at the discretion of management, resources may be emailed to parents. This is only valid for non-selective and non-scholarship groups.

  • Resources for the selective entry/scholarship program will only be shared in a non-downloadable/non-printable format.

3. Resource Care, Replacement and Reissue

Students are expected to keep all notes, worksheets and learning resources provided by Melbourne Tutorials with due diligence and care. These resources are an important part of the learning program, as they allow students to practise concepts at home and refer back to material previously covered in class.

If a student loses or misplaces a resource and is unable to provide a valid reason, the resource will not automatically be reissued.  If Melbourne Tutorials agrees to provide a replacement copy at a parent’s request, an applicable reprinting and administration fee will be charged to cover printing costs and staff involvement.

Resources from previous terms will not ordinarily be provided or reissued in bulk. Students and parents are therefore encouraged to retain all resources carefully for future revision and reference.

In exceptional circumstances, a parent may submit a special request for previous-term resources. Such requests will be considered at the discretion of Centre Management.

If approved, a special resource and administration fee will apply, with the amount determined by Centre Management based on the volume of resources requested and the administrative work and time involved.

4. Students Joining Late in a Term

Students who enrol after the commencement of a term may choose to purchase the learning resources from the weeks they have missed. The applicable fee for previous weeks’ resources is:

  • Grades 1–6: $10 per week
  • Selective Entry: $20 per week

This fee applies only if the student wishes to receive resources covering the period before their enrolment.
