Term 2 for year 8 selective entry students finishes once the selective entry exam is over. The classes would cease immediately and will not progress until the actual finish of term 2 for other grades. Thus, year 8 selective entry term 2 may finish earlier than the regular term and there will be no compensate class, refund or credit adjustment.
Public Holidays Falling During The Term
Once the term starts, Melbourne Tutorials will remain open on public holidays and long weekends, and classes will be conducted as normal.
There Are No Make Up Classes For Any Missed Class (Due To Any Reason)
Parents to please note that child’s education needs should be the topmost priority when there is clash between attending classes and attending social functions. Without denying the importance of socio-cultural events, it is imperative that the child’s learning is not compromised.
Parents are requested to plan their social engagements in such a way that the child maintains regularity in attendance. This would also instill a sense of discipline and commitment in the child.
If a Student Misses Any Class Due To Any Reason
- There are no makeup/ compensate or additional classes.
- The teachers will try to cover the gap (due to the missed concept) in the very next class i.e. when the student resumes, as far as practicable. This will ensure a streamlined learning pathway.
In Case Of Absence
- Melbourne Tutorials shall provide the homework (in hard copy) to parents when requested.
- Melbourne Tutorials shall assess the homework as per the policy.
