About the Program
Melbourne Tutorials is now accepting bookings for our Scholarship, SEAL and Accelerated Program Preparation for current Grade 5 students who will be preparing for Grade 6 scholarship exams, SEAL entry tests and other accelerated learning program selections next year.
This is an intensive, accelerated and advanced program designed for motivated students aiming to perform strongly in competitive academic selection exams. The program targets school-based scholarship exams, SEAL programs, accelerated learning programs and scholarship testing formats commonly conducted by providers such as EduTest.
The program is suitable for students who are academically capable, committed and ready to work at a higher level. Scholarship exams, SEAL entry tests and accelerated program selections are highly competitive. They require students to demonstrate strong academic ability, reasoning skills, writing skills, problem-solving ability, comprehension, speed, accuracy and exam confidence.
Our program is designed to expose students to challenging content, advanced curriculum, exam-style questions and timed practice. Students will work on strengthening the core skills commonly assessed in scholarship exams, SEAL testing and accelerated learning program entry assessments.
This is not a general tuition program. It is a fast-paced and intensive academic preparation program for students who are ready for advanced learning and regular practice.

Areas Covered
The program will focus on the major areas commonly assessed in scholarship exams, SEAL tests and accelerated program entry assessments.
Mathematics & Numerical Reasoning
Students will work on advanced problem-solving, number skills, patterns, logic, data interpretation, mathematical reasoning and challenging exam-style questions.
Reading & Verbal Reasoning
Students will develop comprehension, vocabulary, inference, critical thinking, verbal patterns and reasoning-based skills.
Writing
Students will practise both Narrative and Persuasive Writing, with a focus on structure, expression, vocabulary, creativity, argument development and timed writing performance.
Exam Skills & Test Practice
Students will also work on time management, accuracy, speed, exam strategies and exposure to scholarship, SEAL and accelerated program-style practice tests.
Entrance Test Required
All students must sit an entrance test before being considered for this program.
The entrance test allows Melbourne Tutorials to assess whether the student is suitable for the pace, level and expectations of this intensive preparation program.
Selection Process
Entry into the program is selective.
Students will be considered based on their entrance test performance and suitability for the intensive nature of the program.
After the entrance test, selected students will be offered a place in the program at one of the available centres, based on centre preference and availability.
