Before you sign in

Four things worth knowing.

1
Use the email you gave us at admission.
The portal only recognises the address supplied to Melbourne Tutorials at the time of enrolment.
2
First time signing in? Choose Forgot Password.
Do not create a new account. Your login already exists, so use Forgot Password to set your password and open the portal.
3
Each child needs their own email address.
If you have more than one child enrolled, a separate address is required for each additional child. Contact your campus and we will set it up.
4
Trouble signing in?
Clear your browser cookies and cache, then try again. If it persists, open the same address in a different browser, or contact your campus.
How to use the portal

Practise to a standard, not to a time.

The database exists to build accuracy, speed and exam technique. How you use it matters more than how long you spend on it.

95%

Aim for at least 95% on every test.

If your child does not reach it on the first attempt, the test should be attempted again, as many times as it takes.

Reattempting is the point, not a penalty. It lets a student concentrate on the questions they answered incorrectly or ran out of time to reach, which is what builds understanding, accuracy and time management together.

Grades 1 to 6

Encouraged, not required.

Portal practice is at your discretion at these levels. It is there when your child wants extra work, and the habit it builds early pays off later.

Selective Entry and scholarships

Compulsory.

Regular portal practice is required for Selective Entry students and for anyone preparing for scholarship or other competitive examinations.

Over the years, many Melbourne Tutorials students who made rigorous use of our online practice database have gone on to achieve their desired outcomes in Selective Entry, scholarship examinations and other competitive programs.

Your classroom opens in a new tab, so this page stays where it is.

Access to the portal depends on continued enrolment with Melbourne Tutorials, and ends once a student withdraws or exits the program.
