Yes, all our mock tests have been designed to closely reflect the ACER 2025 format. This includes alignment with the latest structure, timing, and difficulty level across all sections—Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, and Writing.

Our tests also incorporate the abstract reasoning elements that have become a key component of the ACER framework. Each test aims to give students a realistic experience and prepare them comprehensively for the demands of the Selective Entry Exam.

No, there is no need to be enrolled at Melbourne Tutorials to register.
Our mock tests are open to all students who are preparing for the Selective Entry Exam. We welcome both current students and external candidates to take advantage of these resources to benchmark their performance and gain valuable exam practice.

Results are typically released within two weeks of the test date.
This allows our team sufficient time to ensure accurate marking, detailed feedback, and quality checking—so students receive results that truly reflect their performance and help guide further preparation.

Writing tasks are assessed by experienced and competent experts using the Selective Entry marking rubric and its associated parameters.
Each piece is evaluated for structure, clarity, argument strength, language use, coherence, and relevance to the prompt—ensuring alignment with the expectations of the Selective Entry Exam.

Each student’s written texts (Persuasive and Narrative) will be assessed and rated according to the respective assessment rubrics.

Detailed writing feedback is an optional paid service that builds on the standard rubric and corrections included with every test. While the rubric shows where a student sits against the criteria, detailed feedback goes further with tailored explanations, highlighting patterns in writing and offering practical strategies to help students make the next step forward.
